Newsletter and Oracle Trader Introduction

Posted by | Posted in Automated Forex Trading Systems, Manual Forex Trading Systems, Newsletter | Posted on 25-07-2010

If you’ve been a subscriber of mine for a while then you’ll know that I never get involved all these big launches we see so often. However, for the first time this year something has come along that I am really excited about..

Last week I briefly mentioned a new Forex system that I have been testing. It’s called Oracle Trader and it was developed by a guy called Dustin Pass, who is not an unknown in the industry. I have been testing Dustin’s system for about 3 weeks now and I have really been amazed by it..this is truly a very unique product..it’s nothing like the usual stuff we get bombarded with every day. I would like to tell you the whole story right now, but I have unfortunately signed a non-disclosure agreement and I’m only allowed to release information according to their launch schedule.

As a start I’ll definitely recommend that you check out Dustin’s “Market Prediction” video, to see this system in action:

Oracle Trader Market Prediction Video

Make sure to sign up for the next video where he reveals what this strategy is all about. I personally endorse this product and I would really appreciate your participation during their launch, even if you don’t buy their product. I will keep you posted with some inside information and a very special bonus as this launch develops..

In the meantime, here are my trading results for the past week:

1. Manual Trading

(Using the 1 Minute Daily System on my LIVE Account)

The 1 Minute Daily EA had a rollercoaster ride this week and ended back at breakeven on Friday. Nothing much to report on this week. I’m looking into some new manual systems to test, but I’ll get back to you on that in a week or two.

2. Robot Testing in Live Accounts

Note: you can view the live account statements on the Live Testing Page.

Forex Megadroid (Using Alpari UK): Had 2 winning trades and made a profit of 5.7% for the week. Megadroid has made a profit of 57% on this account since I activated it just over 5 months ago. The starting capital of $490 has now grown to $775 and the last losing trade was way back in February..not bad at all!

Fap Turbo (Using Gallant FX and Settings From Fap Turbo Expert Guide): For the moment Fap Turbo is still disabled. I’ve had a number of reports from users making good profit with Fap Turbo using custom settings, but right now I just don’t have much time to experiment with this one.

3. Robot Testing in Demo Accounts

Fish Forex Robot: I am very impressed with the performance of this robot so far. It made a profit of 3.7% last week and an overall profit of 9.8% over the past 2 weeks that I have been testing it. It uses a fairly simple strategy (which is explained in the manual) and so far I honestly don’t see any warning signs at all. This robot is looking more and more like something I’d like to test on a live account, but let’s see if it continues in this fashion.

Aeron EURUSD Robot: Basically broke even this week and made a small profit of 0.87% across 11 trades. This test has been running for 1.5 months now and the robot has made a profit of 29% so far. There is no doubt that this robot can be very profitable, but because it uses some Martingale strategies I would definitely classify it as high risk.

Forex Harvester: Traded some great gaps that developed over the weekend and made a total of 120 pips in profit for the week. That equates to a total profit of 4.4% for the week, which means that the overall account is now 2.75% in profit after jusr over 2 months of testing. It took a while to recover the losses it made in May, but this robot is definitely back to the steady profits that it is known for.

Forex Newsletter – 18 July 2010

Posted by | Posted in Automated Forex Trading Systems, Manual Forex Trading Systems, Newsletter | Posted on 18-07-2010

It’s been quite an exciting week for me. I was invited to test a new news trading system that is launching soon and I’ve been quite amazed by what I’ve seen so far. Unfortunately I’m not allowed to say anything more about it until next week Monday, so I’ll have to keep you in suspense for another week.

On the trading side things have been fairly quiet. The 1 Minute Daily system had a great week and the Fish Forex Robot that I started testing last week is also doing really well, but otherwise there isn’t a lot of good news to report.

Here are my trading results for the past week:

1. Manual Trading

(Using the 1 Minute Daily System on my LIVE Account)

The 1 Minute Daily EA had a great week. It completed 4 winning trades and 2 losing trades for a net profit of 187 pips. For those who don’t know, this system trades the breakout of a specific range every day. It started off as a manual system, by they now also provide a Forex robot that automatically trades according to the same rules as the manual system.

2. Robot Testing in Live Accounts

Note: you can view the live account statements on the Live Testing Page.

Forex Megadroid (Using Alpari UK): My megadroid did not take any trades this week. It has now been exactly 5 months since I started live trading Megadroid and it has made a profit of 50% so far. My target is 10% per month, so at the moment it is still spot on.

Fap Turbo (Using Gallant FX and Settings From Fap Turbo Expert Guide): For the moment Fap Turbo is still disabled

3. Robot Testing in Demo Accounts

Fish Forex Robot: This robot is performing very well so far. It had its first losing trade this week, but it still ended up making a 5% profit for the week. The overall account is now 6% in profit after 2 weeks of testing the Fish Robot. I must say I like everything that I have seen about this robot so far.

Aeron EURUSD Robot: Made a profit of 2.9% for the week. The overall account is now 28% in profit after roughly 6 weeks of testing, but there is one trade that’s been open for more than a month which is in a 35% drawdown. If this trade closes now the overall account will be 7% in the red, so this is not a good sign. I’ll contact the developers again about this to make sure I didn’t make a mistake somewhere.

Forex Harvester: Took some pips from the Monday morning gaps and made a profit of 1.5% for the week. This robot seems to be back to the slow and steady profits that it’s known for, but it will be another week or 2 before it makes up the losses of a couple of weeks ago. The creator of this robot communicates to his customers regularly and they have weekly webinars to discuss the trading, so in terms of support this robot definitely gets a thumbs up from me.

Robovore: Basically had a breakeven week and ended up with a loss of 0.5%. I think I’ve given this robot enough chances now and I’ve seen enough to know that I will never risk my real money on it, so I don’t see the point in testing it further. Robovore is going to the “failed” list.

Fish Forex Robot Testing Started

Posted by | Posted in Automated Forex Trading Systems, Manual Forex Trading Systems, Newsletter | Posted on 11-07-2010

I couldn’t find much time to investigate new Forex products this week, but I did find one robot that looked quite interesting. The Fish Forex Robot is a product by Rita Lasker and if you visit their homepage, you’ll find a sales page that doesn’t contain the usual hype and unrealistic promises that we see so much with Forex robots.

I couldn’t find any negative feedback about Rita Lasker’s products, so I decided to purchase the Fish Forex Robot and see what it’s all about. It has made 3 profitable trades so far, so it’s definitely off to a good start. More details below.

Here are my trading results for the past week:

1. Manual Trading

(Using the 1 Minute Daily System on my LIVE Account)

The 1 Minute Daily EA had a bit of a tough time with false breakouts this week, but it still managed to close on Friday with a net profit of 42 pips for the week. This system may require a bit of fine tuning and experimentation, but I still think it’s one of the best products out there. You effectively get a manual system and a Forex robot for $86, which is cheaper than most of the products that are launched today. The one thing that I really like about this EA is that it’s not a black box type of product like all the other Forex robots on the market..the strategy is clearly explained and you know exactly how it operates.

2. Robot Testing in Live Accounts

Note: you can view the live account statements on the Live Testing Page.

Forex Megadroid (Using Alpari UK): Had 1 winning trade this week for a profit of 5%. One week from today this account will be 5 months old and Megadroid has so far made an overall profit of 50% over this period. It has taken 29 trades so far, of which only 2 were losers. Based on this it is quite clear that Megadroid only takes about 6 trades per month if you disable the aggresive strategy (as I have). The 90% success rate and consistent profit of 10% per month definitely makes up for the lack of trading though.

Fap Turbo (Using Gallant FX and Settings From Fap Turbo Expert Guide): For the moment Fap Turbo is still disabled

3. Robot Testing in Demo Accounts

Fish Forex Robot: This robot is off to a good start with 3 winning trades and a profit of 1% in its first week.

Aeron EURUSD Robot: As I mentioned last week, my trial copy of Aeron robot expired, so I contacted the vendor and they kindly offered me a test version that doesn’t expire. I installed this on Tuesday and since then it has made 5 winning trades for a profit of 1.5%. Unfortunately there is one open trade in a large drawdown of more that 500 pips, so we’ll have to see how that one turns out.

Forex Harvester: Managed to grab a few pips from the Monday morning gaps and ended up 0.5% in profit for the week. After 2 months this account is still 3% in the red, but it’s slowly recovering and will hopefully be in profit soon.

Robovore: Closed no trades this week, so nothing to report on. The account is just over 2% in the red after just about 1 month of tesrting the new version. I’m quickly running out of patience with this robot, so it will probably move to the failed list soon.

Forex Samurai Info and Newsletter

Posted by | Posted in 10 Minute Forex Wealth Builder, Manual Forex Trading Systems, Newsletter | Posted on 05-07-2010

I’ve been investigating some new products over the past couple of days and one that I found that looks quite interesting is Forex Samurai. It’s a signal service and a forex robot combined into one. From the end user perspective it’s an expert advisor that runs on Metatrader like any other Forex robot, but instead of making trading decisions based on a fixed set of mechanical rules, this EA only trades based on signals provided by a real human trader. I like this concept, because it addresses a lot of the disadvantages of signal services and Forex robots.

I’ll do some more digging to see how this service compared to others on the market.I also found at least one new Forex robot that I’m going to add to this post, but more about this next week..

Here are my trading results for the past week:

1. Manual Trading

(Using the 1 Minute Daily System on my LIVE Account)

For those who don’t know, the 1 Minute Daily system is a manual trading system, but they also provide an EA that automatically trades according to the exact rules of the manual system, which is what I’m using in this account.

I restarted the 1 Minute Daily system on Wednesday morning and not long after that it closed a trade for a profit of 35 pips. This was smaller than its average trade, but still not a bad way to start. On Thursday things looked good for another trade, but for some reason the EA stayed out of the market. It opened another trade on Friday, but that one is still open, so I’ll report on it next week. Reporting percentage gains or loss for this system is a bit difficult because I also trade and experiment with other methods in this account, so from now on I’ll just report the weekly results in pips.

2. Robot Testing in Live Accounts

Note: you can view the live account statements on the Live Testing Page.

Forex Megadroid (Using Alpari UK): Completed 1 trade last week for a profit of 1.65%. I started this account 4.5 months ago with $490 and the balance is now just over $700, which is a profit of 43%. Some people say that Megadroid is old news, but to be honest I have yet to find another product that works as consistently.

Fap Turbo (Using Gallant FX and Settings From Fap Turbo Expert Guide): For the moment Fap Turbo is still disabled

3. Robot Testing in Demo Accounts

Aeron EURUSD Robot: Made a small loss of 1.6% for the week. Unfortunately my trial copy of Aeron Robot expired in the middle of the week, so it only traded until Wednesday. I organized a new trial with the developers and will get that up and running again today.

Forex Harvester: Things were very quiet for Harvester last week and it only placed one trade that ended up on breakeven. After 2 months this account is 3.33% in the red, but according to other users of this robot it was the worst 2 months that Harvester has ever had, so I won’t write it off just yet.

Robovore: Closed a bunch of losing trades and ended up with a loss of 2.9% for the week. As in my previous test of Robovore, it seems to be going nowhere, but I’ll let it run for another couple of weeks before making a decision about it.

Forex Newsletter – 27 June 2010

Posted by | Posted in Automated Forex Trading Systems, Manual Forex Trading Systems, Newsletter | Posted on 27-06-2010

Over the past weekend I did a lot of thinking about the future of this website and newsletter..

On the one hand I want to test as many products as possible in order to help my subscribers find the ones that show promise, but on the other hand I have learned from experience that 99% of the robots that are launched in the market are just garbage, no matter how good the sales letters are. This is the reason why I look for robots that appear to be different to the rest instead of just testing everything that is launched.

Unfortunately the Forex robot market has been very disappointing over the past year. Apart from Forex Megadroid there hasn’t really been any robots that delivered consistent results in demo testing, let alone with real money. For this reason I’ve decided to start looking a bit more in depth at other products like signaling services and managed accounts and other ways of automated trading. I will still spend most of my time searching for profitable Forex robots, but from now on I will definitely spend more time looking for alternatives as well.

I appreciate the fact that you are still subscribed to my mailing list and I hope to bring you some interesting info going forward!

Here are my trading results for the past 2 weeks:

1. Manual Trading

(Using the 1 Minute Daily System on my LIVE Account)

Due to other commitments I could not monitor the trades of the 1 Minute Daily EA these past 2 weeks and because this is still a very new EA that could possibly have bugs I decided to switch it off during this time. I’ve also received some new settings that I would like to use, so I’m restarting this test on a clean slate this week. Based on my early test results on a live account I still think that this is one of the best products out there at the moment.

2. Robot Testing in Live Accounts

Note: you can view the live account statements on the Live Testing Page.

Forex Megadroid (Using Alpari UK): Placed only 1 trade in the past 2 weeks for a profit of 2.4%. Users who are new to megadroid may be alarmed by this lack of trading, but there are always good reasons for this and it’s normally best to just wait out the quiet periods. Megadroid has been trading on this live account for 4 months and so far it has turned my starting capital of $490 into $690, which is a profit of 40% and an average of 10% per month.

Fap Turbo (Using Gallant FX and Settings From Fap Turbo Expert Guide): For the moment Fap Turbo is still disabled

3. Robot Testing in Demo Accounts

Aeron EURUSD Robot: Performed well over the past 2 weeks and generated a profit of 12% over 26 trades. The overall profit is now 22% after 3 weeks of trading, but their is one large negative trade that has been open since 11/06 that could change the overall result. This trade worries me a bit, so I’ll investigate during this week to see if the Aeron Robot team has the same trade in their accounts.

Forex Harvester: Had 2 good weeks and ended with a profit of 9.5%. The overall account is still 3.5% in the red, but it recovered most of its losses from the first week or two and since I haven’t tested this robot for 2 months yet I’ll give it some more time to prove itself. I really like the support that the creators of Forex Harvester provide..there are weekly updates, webinars and lots of other things they share on a regular basis. There is also a new, safer version of the robot being released soon.

Robovore: Since I restarted my Robovore test just over 2 weeks ago, this robot has placed a total of 12 trades and ended up with a profit of 0.65%. There are some negative open trades as well, so things are not looking good so far, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and run this new test for at least another month.

Forex Enforcer: Made a loss of 10% over the past 2 weeks. I have tested this robot for exactly 2 months now and it has taken 35 trades and made an overall loss of 44% over this period. Forex Enforcer has not had a single profitable week since I started testing it, so based on these results I see no reason to test it further. This one is going to the failed list below.

New Aeron Robot And Good Forex Megadroid Results

Posted by | Posted in Automated Forex Trading Systems, Manual Forex Trading Systems, Newsletter | Posted on 13-06-2010

I hope you are having a great weekend. I didn’t add any new robots to the testing portfolio last week, but saw quite a bit of action on the ones I’m currently testing. Megadroid had another good week and the new version of Aeron Robot is also off to a very good start, but other than that there aren’t a lot of good news.

Here are my trading results for the past week:

1. Manual Trading

(Using the 1 Minute Daily System on my LIVE Account)

The 1MinuteDaily EA didn’t have a good week and ended up with 4 losing trades and a loss of 6.6%. Some of the trades that ended up as losses were in profit by more than 100 pips at some stage, so it looks like some manual intervention could have made a big difference. I will revise the settings I use this week and see if anything can be improved. I’m trading a different 12 hour range than the original 1Minute Daily system, so this could also be where the problem lies. I know they have released some new manuals recently, so this is a good time to review everything. I’ve been testing the 1Minute Daily EA on this live account for 1 month and after this losing week it is now basically back to breakeven.

2. Robot Testing in Live Accounts

Note: you can view the live account statements on the Live Testing Page.

Forex Megadroid (Using Alpari UK): Had another great week and made 3 winning trades for a profit of 7.18%. Just under 4 months ago Megadroid started off with 2 big losing trades on this live account, but since then it has made 24 winning trades in a row and the overall account is now 37% in profit. No other robot I have tested has produced these type results consistently.

Fap Turbo (Using Gallant FX and Settings From Fap Turbo Expert Guide): For the moment Fap Turbo is still disabled, but I’ve had some good feedback from other Fap Turbo users who use the default settings, so I’m considering giving it another try with small lot sizes.

3. Robot Testing in Demo Accounts

Robovore: As I mentioned last week, I had to restart my Robovore test because my demo account was suddenly disabled by Alpari. The timing of this wasn’t too bad, because the Robovore team also released a major new version on the same day, so it’s a good opportunity to start afresh with this test. No trades were closed last week, but there are 4 open trades at the moment, so there should be some results in the next newsletter. Robovore did go through a rough patch recently, but I can clearly see that the creator of this robot is still dedicated to it’s long term success and I’ve seen some good trades from it over the past couple of weeks.

Forex Enforcer: Made a loss of 7% for the week, resulting in an overall loss of 38% over a period of 6 weeks. The bottom line is, this robot just doesn’t seem to work. I’ll give it another 2 weeks and if there are no positive signs by then it’s time to move on.

Aeron EURUSD Robot: I started the test of the new Aeron robot on a $5000 demo account and in it’s first week it made a profit of 12%. It placed a total of 27 trades, which consisted of 25 winners and 2 losers. We already know that this robot is very profitable, but we also saw that a large drawdown in our previous test resulted in a margin call, so I’m curious to see if this new, safer version is as safe as they say it is.

Forex Harvester: Over the past couple of weeks Forex Harvester has had it’s first losing streak in many months, but last week is made a profit of just under 2% to recover some of the recent losses. The overall account is still down by 11% after 1 month of testing, but if it performs the way it historically did it shouldn’t take long to get this account back into profit.

Forex Newsletter – 6 June 2010

Posted by | Posted in Automated Forex Trading Systems, Manual Forex Trading Systems, Newsletter | Posted on 06-06-2010

The Fifa World Cup kicks off in South Africa this week and the atmosphere here is absolutely amazing at the moment. It’s the biggest event that this country has ever hosted. Unfortunately things are not looking as exciting in the world of Forex robots..there are lots of new robots launching every week, but I just don’t see anything that is worth testing. I’ll definitely let you know if I find something really that shows promise.

Here are my trading results for the past week:

1. Manual Trading

(Using the 1 Minute Daily System on my LIVE Account)

The 1 Minute Daily EA had a breakeven week and the overall profit is still around 5% after little more than 3 weeks of live trading. This is not a massive profit, but it’s better than 99% of the robots that I’ve tested so far and it’s also on a live account, so I’m very impressed with it so far.

2. Robot Testing in Live Accounts

Note: you can view the live account statements on the Live Testing Page.

Forex Megadroid (Using Alpari UK): Took one trade and made a profit of 2.5% for the week. This live account has now increased from the $490 to $629, which is a profit of 26% in the last 3.5 months since I activated the robot. My apologies for mistakenly saying that Megadroid has only made a profit of 5% in last week’s newsletter..it was actually in profit by 23% at the time.

Fap Turbo (Using Gallant FX and Settings From Fap Turbo Expert Guide): For the moment Fap Turbo is still disabled.

3. Robot Testing in Demo Accounts

Robovore: For some reason the demo account that I used for Robovore has been disabled and Alpari just gives an “Invalid Account” error every time I try to log in. This unfortunately means that I have lost my account history and will probably have to restart this test. I saw Robovore made some good trades last week, so it’s a pity that I can’t report on this now.

Forex Enforcer: Completed 2 winning trades and 4 losing trades for a loss of 2.9% for week. This robot has now had a number of losing weeks in a row and the overall account is already down by 33% after roughly 1.5 months of testing. This account hasn’t been in profit at all since I installed this robot, so if things don’t improve I won’t be testing this one for longer than 2 months.

Aeron EURUSD Robot: It was a busy week for me and I just didn’t find time to install the new version of the Aeron Robot. I hope to have this done by tomorrow, so hopefully there will be new results to share by next week.

Forex Harvester: Forex Harvester did not take any trades last week, mostly due to the US and UK holidays on Monday.

Forex Newsletter – 17 May 2010

Posted by | Posted in Automated Forex Trading Systems, Manual Forex Trading Systems, Newsletter | Posted on 17-05-2010

Here are my trading results for the past week:

1. Manual Trading

(Using the 1 Minute Daily System on my LIVE Account)

Due to requoting, the 1Minutes Daily EA did not manage to place any trades last week. The current version of the EA does not retry failed orders, so when a requote occurs (which is very common), it simply doesn’t try to trade again for that day. The developer assured me that they are releasing an updated version that will fix this problem sometime this week.

2. Robot Testing in Live Accounts

Note: you can view the live account statements on the Live Testing Page.

Fap Turbo (Using Gallant FX and Settings From Fap Turbo Expert Guide): Made another loss of 10% this week (excluding commissions). The balance of this account is now down from $500 to $388, which is an overall loss off 22% over a period of exactly 3 months. I’ve wasted enough money on Fap Turbo for now, so I think I’ll put this account on hold until further notice.

Forex Megadroid (Using Alpari UK): Megadroid only made 1 breakeven trade last week, so things haven’t changed much since the previous week. The overall account is down by 4% after 3 months of trading, but it has recovered almost all the unfortunate losses it had in its first week, so things are looking much more positive than in the Fap Turbo account.

3. Robot Testing in Demo Accounts

Forex Robot World Cup (Hirider): Made a profit of 5.5% for the week, but the overall account is still down by 20.5% after just less than 3 months of testing. I’ll let Hirider run for a full 3 months and then make a decision about it, but so far it’s not looking good.

Robovore: Made a small profit of 0.5% for the week and the overall account is now just under 1% in profit. My refund period on Robovore expires today, but I think it’s worth testing this one a little longer. I’ll send an email to the Robovore support staff this week and see if they can help me achieve the same results that they display on their homepage.

Forex Enforcer: Made a nice profit of 7% for the week, but the account is still down by 3%. I’ve only been testing Enforcer for 3 weeks now, so it’s still too early to draw any conclusions.

Aeron EURUSD Robot: It seems that my excitement about this robot was premature, because last week it took my account from $7773 to $1. That’s right, it completely wiped out the account in 1 week. It looks like the Martingale strategy it’s using is no different to what we have seen with products like USDBOT, Forex Hacked and others. I’ll send them an email about this, just in case I did something wrong, but at the moment it looks like Aeron is another big disappointment.

Forex Harvester: This gap trading robot only trades once a week when the market opens. Last week it made some good gains trading gaps on 3 of the major currencies, but unfortunately gave all those gains back later in the day and ended up just under breakeven for the week. There are solid trading principles behind this robot, so I am still very positive about it. I can already see that it banked some profits early this morning, so the account is back into profit as I write this.

Forex Harvester And 1 Minute Daily Testing Started

Posted by | Posted in Automated Forex Trading Systems, Manual Forex Trading Systems, Newsletter | Posted on 10-05-2010

I have a 3 very exciting things to report this week, so I’ll get right to it..

Firstly, I received an email from Greg Swift at ForexRobotInstall.com about a robot called Forex Harvester. He has installed Forex forex robots for hundreds of customers and like me he has been disappointed by 99% of the products out there. Greg and I have corresponded in the past and I really value his opinion, so when he recommends something I really take notice. Forex Harvester has been around for a while, but for reasons that will become apparent when you visit their website, it wasn’t widely promoted by affiliates. The owner of the product (Mark Marshall) is very transparent about how the robot works and he runs an open forum where traders actively discuss the product and the trades. The bottom line is – people are making money with this robot. I’ve already purchased the product and will provide more details on how it works in the next newsletter.

Secondly, I spent some time over the weekend to set up the 1 Minute Daily manual trading system and was surprised to find that they have now released an EA that trades according to the exact rules of the manual system. I’ve been backtesting this EA all weekend and the results are looking really good, so I decided to test the EA instead of the manual method. The $86 price tag is very reasonable if you consider that it includes the complete manual trading system, as well as the EA. Users of the manual system are reporting very good results, so I’m excited to see how it performs.

Thirdly, I have to say a word about the Aeron EURUSD Robot that I started testing 2 weeks ago. I’ve never seen a Forex robot make 81% profit in 1 week, so this is definitely worth mentioning. There are many positive things that I can say about this robot so far – you can download and test it for free on a demo account, they have a forum where the robot is openly discussed and the developers are very transparent about how their product works. Overall I’m very excited about this robot so far and I look forward to see how it does in the coming weeks. See more details below.

Lastly, I will not be testing TSUBOT as I mentioned last week. I announced this a little prematurely and only discovered afterwards that the product is not really meant for Forex and it doesn’t work on Metatrader either. Apologies for the misunderstanding.

Here are my trading results for the past week:

1. Manual Trading

(Using the 1 Minute Daily System on my LIVE Account)

As I mentioned above, I decided to not trade manually and use the EA they provide instead, but since the core of this product is still a manual trading system I think it will be wise to keep it under the manual trading section. This system places at least one trade per day, so by next week there should be some results already.

2. Robot Testing in Live Accounts

Fap Turbo (Using Gallant FX and Settings From Fap Turbo Expert Guide): Made 3 losing trades last week for a loss of 12%. It’s been almost 3 months since I started this real money test and my $500 starting capital is now down to $438. Someone suggested last week that I just stop testing Fap Turbo altogether and I’m really considering that at the moment.

Forex Megadroid (Using Alpari UK): Megadroid has performed incredibly well over the past 2 weeks. Last week it made 3 trades for a profit of 17% and the week before that it made a profit of 10%, for an overall gain of just under 30% in 2 weeks. Megadroid has almost recovered the disastrous loss I had in the first week and my account balance is now back to $470. Another winning week and I could well be in profit again.

3. Robot Testing in Demo Accounts

Forex Robot World Cup (Hirider): Closed no less than 72 winning trades this week and made a net profit of 10%. This recovered a lot of the big losses that were experienced 2 weeks ago, but the overall account is still down by 11%. There is no doubt that this robot closes a lot of small winning trades, but the big losses that occur every now and again makes the risk:reward ration unacceptable to me.

Robovore: Placed and closed 8 trades for the week, but ended up with a small loss of less than 1%. I’ve been running this test for exactly 1 month today and this account has basically gone nowhere. It is currently $9 in profit. I was very excited to test this robot, but I have to say that I’m getting less excited every week. If anyone is having different results with this robot, please let me know.

Forex Enforcer: Made a loss of 1.3% for the week. After 2 weeks of testing this account is down by 5.5%, which is not a good start for a robot that I expected a lot from, but it’s still way too early to draw any conclusions. I’ll test Forex Enforcer for at another 6 weeks before juding it’s performance.

Aeron EURUSD Robot: This robot had another incredible week. It took the account balance from $3180 to $5773 and made a net profit of no less than 81% (no that’s not a typo). After just 2 weeks of testing, this robot has made an overall profit of 92% and it already banked some more profits today which I excluded. I’m not 100% sure how this robot works yet, but it definitely hedges trades and it uses a unique Martingale implementation to average out trades. I’ll update you as soon as learn more about how this EA works.

Forex Newsletter – 3 May 2010

In addition to the robots I purchased last week, I also decide to start testing a little known product called TSUBOT from Tsunami Trading. TSUBOT is an expensive, professional grade Forex robot that I have received very good reviews about. They offer a free trial, so I decided to install their product and see if it’s really worth the money. You can register for their free trial here.

Here are my trading results for the past week:

1. Manual Trading

I’m still investigating some other products, but it looks like the 1 Minute Daily strategy will be a good one to test. I’ll get familiar with the system this week and start trading with it by next Monday. With this system you place 2 trades every day at a specific time. More about this next week.

2. Robot Testing in Live Accounts

Note: you can view the live account statements on the Live Testing Page.

Fap Turbo (Using Gallant FX and Settings From Fap Turbo Expert Guide): Placed 8 trades for the week and made a small profit, but basically ended up on breakeven after comissions were taken off. I started trading Fap Turbo 2.5 months ago with $500 and the balance of the account is now exactly $502, so it’s been very unimpressive so far. Unfortunately there is no real alternative at the moment, so I’ll keep on running Fap Turbo in this account for now.

Forex Megadroid (Using Alpari UK): Made 2 great trades and ended up with a profit of 10% for the week. For those who weren’t round, here is a quick summary of the last 2.5 months of live trading with Megadroid. I went live with Megadroid on 18 February with a starting capital of $490. As luck would have it, Megadroid had it’s first big losing streak on that exact day and was down to $318 almost immediately. It has slowly recovered since then and the account is now back to $400. Hopefully it won’t take long before it is back to breakeven.

3. Robot Testing in Demo Accounts

Forex Robot World Cup (Hirider): Made a profit of 2% for the week, but the overall account is still down by 19% and there are 10 open trades in a drawdown of -5.6%, so things are still not looking good for this one. My refund period for FRWC has expired, so I guess it’s worth testing this one a bit longer.

Robovore: Made a profit of 1.3% for the week, which means that the account is now finally in profit after 3 weeks of testing. I still can’t draw any conclusions on this one, so I will test it for another 2 weeks and then decide if I should refund or keep on testing it.

Forex Enforcer: Closed 2 trades and made a loss of 4.29% in its first week of testing.

Aeron EURUSD Robot: The Aeron robot is off to a good start. It closed 7 winning trades and made a profit of 3.6% in its first week. I don’t know mush about the strategy behind this robot yet, but I know that it uses hedging, so it will only work on brokers that allows this.
