Those that have followed my site for a long time know that I am a big fan of KeltnerBells because of the fact it has been proven in real-time markets for close to a year. That is significant, particularly given the vastly different market conditions we’ve experienced over the last year.

I thought today I would talk a little about taking into account the “news” in your trading. I know many of us use blackbox robots, but when you have control of your trading, what sources do you rely upon for news? Do you visit sites such as Marketwatch, Yahoo Finance, CNBC, or Bloomberg to monitor the goings on in the markets?

Those are all great sites and I encourage you to continue using those sites or your own favorites. With that said, can I suggest another? ForexFactory.com and specifically their calendar: http://www.forexfactory.com/calendar.php

Whenever possible it’s best to be prepared and as you know news can wreak havoc on a trade or reward you greatly.  You’ll want to make sure you are very aware when “Red Rated” reports come up that would impact the currency pair you are trading. Forex Factory does a great job listing all reports, in all Major markets! My suggestion is to ignore all the reports except the ones in Red.  Those you should be aware of as they can have a huge impact on your trade.  You may want to consider not trading just in front, or just after one of these reports.

Forex Gold Machine looks to be the first system from this team, but the results are outstanding. I love the fact that they provide you access to their MyFxBook accounts – both demo and live. Forex Gold Machine is a scalper and trades the 5 minute EURUSD chart. It’s not the slickest sales page, but hopefully that just means all their efforts went into the product! The product is $129 for 3 months and is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Last week I talked about BullPips, a Forex trading strategy I’m really excited about. This week there’s another product that is really exciting: EveryDayPips.

I keep having to ask myself, could it really be this simple to trade the Forex system from EveryDayPips? It’s not often I see something this easy and just so darn effective.  The website and manual promised nearly 90% winners and with a healthy dose of skepticism I started to backtest the system. When I went from the middle of August until today and had zero losers I started to be a believer. In my further testing I saw nearly 90% winning trades.

That’s really amazing and it does a lot for your confidence when you know virtually every trade you put on is going to work. Even better, they provide a second method that can be traded and while it isn’t as impressive, it was getting about 75% winning trades in my testing. I have started trading it in real-time and it’s drop dead simple to see the set-ups. They happen at the exact same time every day!  I guess that’s where the name comes from so there’s no guessing when a trade might set-up. It can only happen at two times a day.

I give EveryDayPips my highest recommendation.  Sure, you’ll have to place the trade but you’ll know exactly why you are buying or selling and the consistency is going to do wonders for your confidence trading forex. The last 2 weeks I’m 9-0 (with another winner today)!

I’m excited this morning… It’s not often I see a trading system that I feel I can wholeheartedly give my top endorsement.

BullPips is a Forex trading strategy that is one of the best I’ve seen. It’s actually quite simple, you can trade it during London business hours or US market hours. It trades the EURUSD on a 15 minute chart (plus another 5 of your favorite Forex currency pairs if you prefer.)

For only $127 you get two custom indicators and a well-documented point strategy guide.  All you have to do is wait for the setup that is contained in the strategy guide (basically the BullPips indicator will signal a buy or a sell) and you place your trade. You’ll immediately know the exact target and stop — walk away and let the trade go to completion. The winning ratio is very high and what’s better, it isn’t one of those crazy strategies looking to make 10 pips on a winner while risking 100.

Today I had two winners, over 60 pips and was done.  No subjectivity, no discretion. I even have heard they might be working on an EA to automate it but for now you just learn the system and take the trades. You’re going to really love this one if you want something with steady winners, can use it on multiple pairs and there’s no reason you can’t trade it a few times per day and get yourself a steady income with your Forex trading.

After the overwhelming response I got to DowScalper, which is a great product to trade Dow Emini Futures, I also wanted to bring your attention to a new product being launched this week called OptionsMD. They are in their pre-launch stage right now, providing a lot of great educational materials, but will be opening their sales on Thursday. OptionsMD is being released by one of the more reputable firms in the business, so I would encourage you to take a look today.

Forex Trend Dominator is based on price action and other technical variables to identify new trends in providing fast, accurate and profitable trading signals. According to the sales page, the “system contains accurate trend signal alerts for the dashboard and 5 out of the 10 indicators have alerts that may be sent to your email and cell phone”. They provide a nice manual to help you get started with detailed instructions. The system sells for $299.

With today being Labor Day in the U.S. as expected trading is quite slow.  However, this traditionally marks the end of the summer even if it’s not official on the calendar.  It also marks the end of the August vacations throughout Europe.  So what does this mean to all of us forex traders?  It definitely should mean the return to volatility and bigger trading ranges.  August was unquestionably quite slow to trade.  I’d estimate in some cases the volatility was 20% of a normal month as I compared my personal forex trading charts.  While I wouldn’t expect the start of trading tomorrow to necessarily immediately resemble the most exciting and wide ranging market I do believe we’re going to be moving in that direction starting now.

In fact, Thursday and Friday are packed with important economic reports and statements both out of the U.S. and Europe.  Lately we’ve seen maybe one day a week provide some type of action, the rest of the week has been dull.  Let’s see if that pattern starts to change and a few days a week emerge as volatile with the consolidation days the minority.  What would this mean to me and you?  It certainly will lead to more profits trading our robots or our manual trading systems.  Try as you might, you’re unlikely to make a lot of profits in very slow, dull markets.  You might not see large drawdowns but you also rarely see new equity highs either.  So, enjoy this last holiday of summer and let’s prepare for what awaits us next.

I know I have sent you a number of emails about ProfitAgent I really do think this is an exciting product. It’s not a “robot”, rather a trade copier. Considering the success we continue to see from Tom’s EA, this has a great pedifree.  The package is $1997 or $397 for 3 months and they even have a way for you to get it for free! Take a look at the ProfitAgent verifiable results on their website.

Another product I emailed you about this week is Forex Profit Model. This is a product being release by Old Tree Publishing, a reputable company in this business, where that isn’t always easy to say! They are going to provide you some good online trading, DVDs, a manual, private membership area, live webinars and video training along with 24/7 support. Forex Profit Model sells for $499 or you have the option of two payments of $325. Make sure to take a look!

Just one more week to go!  That’s probably what Forex traders everywhere are saying… We rejoice that our kids going back to school… We rejoice that in the United States, Labor Day holiday is just around the corner… Then there are rumors that traders throughout Europe will finally consider coming back to work!

All of this means a return to volatility in the Forex markets.  This is good news for you whether you trade with a strategy or a robot.  There’s an old adage (well, as old as anything can be in Forex trading) that you should step aside for the full month of August.  Many big traders and even the banks move to the sidelines or play much more lightly.  When this occurs the markets tend to slow down on a day to day basis.  Instead, you get these one day a week spurts.  If you don’t catch the action on that one day, well you’re almost out of luck for the whole week!

This week was no different – deadly quiet all week then one day boom, a big move (Wednesday) – you blink and you miss it.  Not to say come September and October there won’t be those days where you’d find more action watching paint dry.  But, what I find when volatility and volumes return are about 3 days a week provide solid movement in either direction, 1 day tends to be a little dull, and 1 day you’ll be back to the paint.  That’s much better than 4 out of 5 days being slow as we see now.

So again, it’s time to start thinking about firing up those strategies, those dormant robots, and getting yourself back into the frame of mind moving from the dog days of summer to what should be the hot days of trading come fall.  Don’t forget, you have U.S. Presidential elections, economic recovery plans globally and this is sure to be a recipe for some wild moves.  Hang in there a few more days get ready for the ride!

1. New Products Worth Checking Out

Today is the exciting release of ProfitAgent! You’ve seen the emails from me over the last week talking about this new release from Dustin Pass and the videos you’ve seen over the course of the emails have told the story about this passive income product and the results they’ve seen. It’s not a new product, but have you noticed the comeback our Wallstreet Forex Robot live account has made? Back on June 8 the robot was up over 21% and then the next day was down over 35% (a 56% drop!). Thursday, August 23 our account broke back through into positive territory, quite a turnaround.
