1. New Products Worth Checking Out

Forex Proteon is a new robot based on “dollar cost averaging”. The sale pages claims they “developed a mathematical algorithm to calculate the optimum performance for placing a second trade when you want to average your entry price”. The robot runs on multiple currency pairs and is able to work with any Forex broker that supports MT4 and Expert Advisors. Here is a link to their MyFXBook started on January 23. The robot sells for $129 and they offer a 30 day money back guarantee.

Forex 5 Stars is the latest system released by Rita Lasker. The sales page says this “isn’t a robot that trades on its own. Each trader will show different results and it all depends on the trader himself.” They offer the option to trade middle-term (one signal every 2-3 days) or long-term (one to three month trends). They do not provide any verifiable results, instead summarizing their results for January as a net profit of $19,620 by using 6 pairs (lot 1.0). They are selling the system (with two giveaways) for $75 until February 1, with a 60 day money back guarantee.

I thought I would start this year with a short note on a topic I receive a lot of email about – the need for a VPS (Virtual Private Server) service. The VPS is a service that will run your Forex robot on a remote computer that you rent from an online provider. With the requirement of many robots have to be constantly running their robot, there are a couple key reasons a VPS is fast becoming a necessity rather than an option. The primary benefit of the VPS is to avoid the potential computer or internet issues you may experience in your own environment. The second benefit of the VPS is avoiding the impact a robot can have with the normal use of your everyday computer.

Just like a Forex broker you need to be selective when finding your VPS provider and leave at the first sign of trouble/problems. As you can imagine we have tried a number of different VPS’ and not all are good. Based on this experience, I highly recommend Photon VPS. We have found them to be easy to work with and reliable. On the other hand, we had difficulties with UltraHosting , who in our experience would frequently reboot making a major impact on our robots. Your experience may differ, I just wanted to share ours.

Forex Gale is a robot that tends to make a number of trades and holds those trades longer than average (making the need for a VPS important). The average winner is held for over 30 hours (losers for 60 hours). I like the fact that they link to the live trading results on MyFXBook for a variety of different strategies. This is a link to their account running all 3 of their strategies and is up over 110%. The lifetime license is $195 and that comes with a 30 day money back guarantee.

Forex Genetic is a robot created by Ian Harris who claims to have made $189,098 in gains in 2011 with his secret “genetic algorithm technology”. The system claims to have intelligence built in to “evolve” and become more intelligent. I’m never comfortable with systems that don’t provide actual statements and Forex Genetic only has screenshots, so proceed with caution. The system sells for $47 and they offer a 60 day money back guarantee.

Forex Trends Rider is a new system from Terry Marshall. In their sales video they claim to help you earn an average of $538/day spending just three minutes, though we don’t get any clear evidence. The system sells for $77 and offers a 60 day 100% money back guarantee. Beware, I have had a number of members comment that they ordered this system but had issues receiving it. However with Plimus, receiving your money back should not be an issue.

They say “sex sells”, which I suppose is one way to stand out in the crowded space of Forex robots. This week I learned of a robot released by Amy Adriano called Stripped Down Forex. According to their sales page this “ex-dancer” makes up to $747,781 per month with 1-click trading and “no losses”.  I have not tried this robot, but you can imagine I’m skeptical. On their sales page they offer screenshots of supposed statements, but none that are links. The price is $47 and comes with a 60 day guarantee. Buyer beware!

Unstoppable Forex Profit is a new trading system from Austin Winston we were notified about this week. Unfortunately this is another system that does not provide clear evidence of their trading success, rather just screenshots and a video. The system sells for $87 and they offer a 30 days money back guarantee.

Ultra Fast Profit is a new system from Karl Dittman who has a reputation for pumping out a lot of Forex products, but none that have done well. One user that purchased the product told us there are “no red and green dots for entry signals” as they show on the sales site, which has me worried about the quality of the product. The system is $87 and they offer a 30 day money back guarantee, however I would exercise caution.

Since I’m not exactly a ray of sunshine today, let me mention a couple that ARE doing well.

EuroRise is a scalper that trades on the M15 charts of the USDCHF and EURGBP currency pairs. One interesting fact about EuroRise is the “broker suitability” score they offer to determine the suitability of the broker by recording spread, slippage and commissions across a minimum of 15 trades. We know how important the broker is to our trades, so this is a great feature. Finally, as we always like to see, EuroRise provides access to their MyFXBook account and you’ll note it’s approaching the year’s high mark!

Finally, Tom’s EA. This is a robot we’ve been running since October and continue to have success! Our own test account is up almost 50% since October and their live account is up over 150% since August. This is always an interesting time of year with the holidays being celebrated around the world. Ultimate Forex Formula is a new Forex course with two systems that come with Trade Alert software and trade sample videos. I have not seen a lot of hard evidence that would lead me to believe this could be a game changer. If you decide to purchase the course, please send us your feedback as we don’t see a compelling reason to run a demo at this time.

Unstoppable Forex Profit is new product launched by Austin Winston. This Forex software was developed by a group of highly experienced Forex traders and programmers and their website provides screenshots, but not actual results. Again, exercise caution with this system and please provide your feedback if you do decide to try it.

Thank you to all of those that responded to the survey last week. As you may recall, we had a handful of questions related to your preferences for researching new Forex systems. The results were overwhelmingly consistent across each answer:

-       There is a strong preference (3 to 1) for the written sales letter as compared to the video sales letter

-       However 70% of the respondents either never or rarely believe the claims made in the marketing

-       The primary source relied upon for buying decisions are sites such as FXTradingReviews (80%)

-       Showing proof of results is a requirement (90%) and they’d better be verified (90%)

Last week I mentioned FX Rogue and their “trade copier” system that mirrors the master trader’s account. I’m happy to tell you that we received a demo copy of the system that we’ll be running and will continue to provide results. Early impressions of the system are favorable!

Finally, we learned of a new system called Currency Messenger from the Trading Authority Publishing group. In the sales video at their website they claim Howard Hark has identified a “secret currency flaw loophole” they’ve been able to take advantage of (by the way, kudos to Currency Messenger on their Video Sales Letter – very well done and worth a look!). I can tell you we have not personally tested it, but in researching it online the reviews have been mixed, so exercise your own caution.

Today I have a number of things to share with you including new products, an update to our Top 5 Forex Robots, and a survey to get your feedback on a topic we’ve debated over the years (I’ll even make it worth your while with a random drawing for those completing the survey).

The topic I’m talking about is what we in the business like to call the “Long Form Sales Letter” or more recently, the Video Sales Letter. You know exactly what I mean, the LONG sales page (or video) that takes you through the background, claims, features, prices, etc. of a given system. Are we to the point that these “sales letters/videos” aren’t credible because we’ve seen and heard the wild boasts so many times?

We continue to do well in our demo account with Tom’s EA and we’ll have more details for you next week.

This week I have a few others to mention. The first is FX Rogue. This is not the traditional EA or robot, rather it’s an application that allows you to execute the same trades as FX Rogue (‘mirror trading”). The trades will be placed automatically since it has an included “trade copier” that mirrors the master traders account. Next we have Dreamsphere, a live trading room getting a lot of buzz and offer a 7 day trial for $27 with a simple cancellation process if needed. One exciting thing about Dreamsphereis they have added Auto-Trading (using any of these brokers: FXDD, FXCM, Alpari UK and FxOpen) & SEMI Auto-Trading features inside our membership to add more values to members. There’s a couple of things to report today, so I’ll get right to it…

Firstly just a quick comment about Jason Sweezey’s new 1 Hour Forex System, which I wrote about last week. This course is not expensive at all, so I decided to purchase a copy for myself and see what it’s all about. I’ve only done a quick review of it, but I’m very impressed with it so far. The method Jason teaches is fairly unique, but still based on standard principles like support & resistance, candlestick formations etc. If you’re interested in manual trading then I think this course offers a lot of value at $87, so make sure to check it out.

Secondly, I’ve had a lot of questions regarding Tom’s EA so I just wanted to give some quick feedback about it. The test on my demo acocunt is still performing very well and it’s making roughly 15% profit per month using medium risk settings. I also have it running on a live account now and the performance there has been matching the demo account, so everything is looking good. I really think this is a great product to invest in, so I’m trying to arrange for them to make some copies available to my subscribers, but more on that later. I’ve decided to abandon the idea of using a portfolio account for multiple robots, because it makes it difficult to guage the performance of each forex robot on its own. Instead I have decided to set up a live account for each forex robot that I think is worth testing with real money, starting with Wallstreet Forex Robot, which has performed very well in my tests so far. I hope to do a lot more real money testing going forward.<
